This summer, the excitement in cinemas is heating up with the release of films featuring characters battling formidable threats to save the world, including 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint,' 'Superman,' and 'Fantastic 4: A New Beginning.'
In July, those who will save the world in the face of a life-and-death crisis are stepping up as saviors in theaters.
The first protagonist is 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint,' directed by Kim Byeong-woo, provided by Lotte Entertainment and Smilegate, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, and produced by Realize Pictures Co., Ltd., co-produced by MYM Entertainment, Smilegate Realize, and The Present Company, which focuses on a fantasy action story where the world of a novel, serialized for over a decade, becomes reality on the day the serialization ends, and the sole reader, 'Kim Reader,' faces the apocalypse alongside the protagonist, 'Yu Jun-hyuk,' and his friends to survive in a shattered world.
'Kim Reader' must rewrite the ending of the story to help everyone survive, rather than just 'Yu Jun-hyuk' (Lee Min-ho) being the only one left alive. Together with companions, they embark on a grand journey to overcome unpredictable missions and dangers, concentrating everyone's attention on how they will grow and what kind of ending they will ultimately face.
The superhero 'Superman' is rebooted under the direction of James Gunn and is set to hit theaters. Hollywood newcomer David Corenswet takes on the role of 'Superman,' succeeding Henry Cavill. 'Superman' is a massive superhero action blockbuster in which the most powerful being on Earth battles the worst enemies seeking to destroy the world. With extraordinary intellect and astronomical wealth, Lex Luthor shakes the foundations of the world, but 'Superman' continues to soar to save the planet, heralding the return of the classic superhero.
'Fantastic 4: A New Beginning' takes on cosmic villain Galactus, who threatens the entire Earth, in a life-and-death battle. The movie depicts the monumental events that unfold as four astronauts, who gain unexpected powers and become superheroes as 'Fantastic 4,' rise to protect the world from the destructive villain Galactus, who devours planets. 'Mr. Fantastic,' 'Invisible Woman,' 'Human Torch,' and 'The Thing' embark on their first steps as superheroes with special abilities after venturing into space, but soon face a colossal enemy and engage in fierce battles.
Meanwhile, 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint,' which has emerged as the most talked-about film this summer, will be available in theaters nationwide on July 23.
