The first still of Chun Ho-jin, who will anchor the center of 'Brilliant Days' with a heavy presence, has been released, heightening expectations.
KBS 2TV's new weekend drama 'Brilliant Days' (directed by Kim Hyung-seok, written by So Hyun-kyung) tells a story of generational empathy through a family melodrama about how everyone has brilliant days—whether in the present, past, or future—and encounters these brilliant days with different meanings.
Chun Ho-jin delivers a heartfelt performance as Lee Sang-cheol, a K-father in the drama. Sang-cheol is a responsible character who prioritizes supporting his parents and raising his children as his life's first duties. While he has a high sense of pride in his life, he begins a lonely struggle in the second act of his life, experiencing a clash of values with his son Lee Ji-hyuk (played by Jung Il-woo) due to cold reality.
On the 4th (today), the 'Brilliant Days' team opened the doors to its family narrative by releasing stills of Chun Ho-jin (as Lee Sang-cheol). In the still, Chun Ho-jin appears modestly, perfectly embodying the upright and diligent character of Sang-cheol, the K-father. With tightly closed lips and deep gaze alone, he captures the tumultuous life narrative of a character who had to endure numerous trials as a family head.
In another still, the expression of Sang-cheol seems to hide complex inner turmoil. His slumped shoulders and vacant eyes evoke sympathy from viewers. Chun Ho-jin, who won two awards in KBS weekend dramas 'My Golden Life' and 'Once Again', is being closely watched to see what new father figure he will create this time in 'Brilliant Days' that resonates and strikes a chord with audiences.

KBS 2TV's new weekend drama 'Brilliant Days' will premiere on August 9 (Saturday) at 8 p.m. as a follow-up to 'Eagle 5'.
