Member Solar of the group MAMAMOO has revealed the solo version of her Chinese single.
Solar released the Chinese single 'Floating Free (Solar Ver.)' at midnight today, 4th, on various music streaming sites.
'Floating Free (Solar Ver.)' features Solar's unique clear and warm voice layered over retro synthesizers that spread like waves, giving a sense of being on the border between dreams and reality. The solo version filled entirely with Solar's voice creates a different charm compared to the duet version with Taiwanese singer-songwriter 9m88.
In particular, Solar has been seriously studying Chinese since November of last year, perfecting her tones and pronunciations. Having received great love and attention from local fans since the activities of MAMAMOO, Solar aimed to convey sincere emotions that transcend borders and cultures through music composed of Chinese lyrics as a means of giving back.
Fans have also responded to Solar's exceptional love for her followers. The Chinese single 'Floating Free' topped the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in Taiwan after its release, reached number one on the top trending songs chart of Taiwan's largest music platform KKBOX, and ranked second on the trending music video chart on YouTube in Taiwan, sweeping the local charts.
In addition to the release of the Chinese single, Solar also conducted a massive local promotion and had opportunities to connect with fans. Solar started with a press conference attended by over 100 people, including prominent local media, and successfully held a solo fan concert in Taiwan, solidifying her position as a trusted artist both domestically and internationally.
Solar's Chinese single 'Floating Free (Solar Ver.)' will also be released as a physical album and can be found in various online and offline record stores.
