Comedian Jeon Yoo-sung has been hospitalized due to a pneumothorax.
On the 2nd, Jeon posted a photo on his social media with the message, "Currently closed for internal repairs."
The released photo showed Jeon lying in a hospital bed receiving an IV, raising concerns.
On the 3rd, a media outlet reported that Jeon was hospitalized for pneumothorax and underwent a procedure. According to the report, a representative from Jeon’s side stated that he had completed a procedure related to pneumothorax on the 1st and is expected to be discharged tomorrow.
Previously, Jeon had been embroiled in health concerns due to his noticeably lost weight. Last year, Jeon admitted on a web entertainment show that he was hospitalized for three different illnesses this year, stating he had suffered from acute pneumonia, arrhythmia, and COVID-19. Jeon humorously remarked, "I'm expecting to be selected as an exemplary patient by the end of the year. It's hard for one person to go through such a variety of issues. Isn’t it three different ones in a year?"
Last month, Jo Hye-ryeon shared a photo of herself meeting Jeon, saying, "I met brother Jeon Yoo-sung after a long time, and it was emotional. Brother, I pray for your health."
