Travel creator Kwak Jun-bin shared everything from how he got involved in "Choo Sung Hoon's Meal Value Must Be Paid" to shooting episodes, building anticipation for the first broadcast.
"Choo Sung Hoon's Meal Value Must Be Paid," co-produced by EBS and ENA, is a real survival travelogue where Choo Sung Hoon, known as 'the man from nowhere,' challenges extreme jobs around the world and enjoys the value of the meals he earns through strenuous efforts. Leading the team is Choo Sung Hoon, alongside general affairs manager Kwon Jun-bin and search manager Lee Eun-ji.
Kwak Jun-bin, who has traveled extensively as a travel creator, noted, "I have been doing travel both on my personal channel and in broadcast programs, so I often want to try new concepts." He added, "I have traveled to countless countries and met various people, but in 'Choo Sung Hoon's Meal Value Must Be Paid,' it is not just about meeting people; I decided to participate because I can experience local jobs together."
On the other hand, regarding the strict "I pay my own way" travel where the production team doesn't even buy a bottle of water, he remarked, "I actually appreciated that the production team managed it strictly. I like real situations, so since they don’t provide any help, it reminded me of the times when I used to travel, and although it was tough, I could enjoy it much more."
As someone who boasts a special chemistry with older men, curiosity is growing about his relationship with Choo Sung Hoon, known as "the man from nowhere." Kwon Jun-bin said, "Choo Sung Hoon is really young and trendy, so he didn’t feel like an older man at all. He took good care of us as team leader, and we were able to work comfortably and travel much more enjoyably."
He also shared his experiences tasting local food with Choo Sung Hoon and Lee Eun-ji in Chongqing, China. He explained, "Chongqing is known for hot pot and spicy food, and it really was the case. Eight out of ten restaurants were hot pot places. There were many dishes using mala, and especially the noodles were delicious." He added, "Since the food itself was delicious, I recommend enjoying it as it is."
"Choo Sung Hoon's Meal Value Must Be Paid," where travel icon Kwon Jun-bin embarks on a unique journey, will premiere on July 26 (Saturday) at 7:50 p.m. on EBS and ENA.
