'The National Spark Tour' has revealed its first lineup of grants.
On the 3rd, Mnet announced that the group NCT DREAM and TOMORROW X TOGETHER will participate in the idol festival mega project 'The National Spark Tour' to be launched in August.
'The National Spark Tour' (directed by PD Jo Hye-mi) is a new entertainment program by Mnet based on the concept that top K-POP idol groups active globally will strike out to various regions, providing local residents with special products and performances in a one-plus-one format. Each episode will feature different artists appearing in different locations, organizing surprise pop-ups, and actively attracting audiences to heat up the city.
The lineup includes NCT DREAM. Since their debut in 2016, their long-developed teamwork and broad musical spectrum have drawn attention to which city in Korea they will unexpectedly strike out in, and what strategy they will use to successfully complete the local festival.
Meanwhile, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, which has been enhancing its reputation as a 'stage teller' (a combination of stage and storyteller) with high-quality performances, has also confirmed its participation. With both groups set to make a comeback and go on a world tour in July, attention is drawn to what special summer day they will create with the local residents through 'The National Spark Tour.'
On the other hand, 'The National Spark Tour' started its pre-heating by releasing its first teaser video on the 2nd. The video captured the close distance between 'favorite' artists and fans, which has been difficult to experience due to their global activities. After the teaser was released, 'The National Spark Tour' rose in real-time trends on X (formerly Twitter), drawing passionate reactions from fans wishing to visit various locations, such as 'It's amazing that I can see my favorite in the country' and 'It promotes the region and has a good purpose.'
Mnet's 'The National Spark Tour,' which has raised expectations by announcing its luxurious lineup, is set to premiere in August.
