'Squid Game' Season 3 has been named the most viewed content on Netflix in its first week of release.
According to the official Netflix site Tudum's 'Netflix Top 10' on the 2nd, the viewing time for the original series 'Squid Game 3' was recorded at 368.4 million hours from the 23rd to the 29th of last month.
'Squid Game 3' was released on the 27th of last month, meaning it was watched for 370 million hours globally in just three days. The number of views divided by the total running time (6 hours and 8 minutes) was 60.1 million.
Last week, it not only dominated the non-English institutional sector but also had significantly high viewership combined with English institutional sectors and both English and non-English films.
By country, it ranked first in all 93 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Argentina.
However, based on the first week of release, it fell slightly short of the all-time record set by 'Squid Game' Season 2 (68 million viewers).
On a weekly basis, it ranks third after Season 1's second week (69.8 million viewers) and Season 2's first week (60.8 million viewers).
'Squid Game 3,' the finale of the series, has led to a resurgence in viewership for Seasons 1 and 2.
Season 2, released in December last year, re-entered the 'Netflix Top 10' last week, ranking third among non-English institutional sectors (2.8 million viewers), while Season 1, which premiered in 2021, ranked sixth (1.7 million viewers).
'Squid Game' is considered the most successful content on Netflix.
Season 1 has maintained its number one position in viewership and viewing time (based on 91 days post-release) among all movies and TV shows on Netflix, and the games and props featured in 'Squid Game' have gained global popularity.
