It has been two years since actor Park Kyu-chai, who left behind masterpieces such as 'Four Seasons Diary' and 'Investigation Team Leader', passed away.
The late Park Kyu-chai died at around 1:05 p.m. on July 1, 2023, at the age of 84. He was reportedly receiving treatment for pneumonia before his passing.
Born in 1938, the late Park Kyu-chai attended Korea University and joined the university's theatrical research group, where he began learning acting through grants in 'Hamlet', 'Antigone', and more. He later joined the National Theater Company in 1957 before making his debut as a talent for KBS in 1961.
The late Park Kyu-chai appeared frequently in historical dramas, starting with the role of Lee Gi-bung in 'The First Republic' in 1981, as well as in series such as the Republic series and the 'Five Hundred Years of Joseon Dynasty'. He also performed voice acting in foreign works such as 'Sons and Daughters' and animated films like 'Lightning Atom'.
Additionally, he left a strong impression in 'Investigation Team Leader' and 'Four Seasons Diary', and also appeared in 'Ambition 25 Hours', 'Reed Grass', 'Love and Ambition', and 'The Era of Three Kims'.
The late Park Kyu-chai had also appeared in the drama 'Yeon Gae Somun' in 2007, the film 'Minority Opinion' in 2015, and 'The Woman Who Kills' in 2016.
