The group ONEUS has returned to an expanded musical world.

ONEUS released their mini album, '5x', today at 6 p.m. through various streaming sites.

'5x' is an album that signals ONEUS breaking down their boundaries and announcing the beginning of a new narrative, much like the unknown variable 'x' that is not fixed to a single answer. A total of 5 songs are featured, including the title track 'X', 'LOVE ME or LOSER', 'RELOAD', 'BAD', and 'TIME MACHINE (Korean Ver.)'.

Next is a Q&A session with ONEUS, who are releasing their mini album '5x'.

Q. You have returned with the mini album '5x'. Can you briefly introduce the album, including the title track 'X'?

Hwan Woong: '5x' combines the number '5', which signifies the five members of ONEUS, with the unknown variable 'x', which can represent any value, showing that ONEUS has infinite musical potential. The title track 'X' features minimalist yet intense sounds combined with dynamic performances, capturing a unique charm of ONEUS. I believe listeners will feel an exciting energy that resonates well with summer.

Q. You announced the beginning of a new narrative with '5x'. What narrative does this album contain?

Lee Do: I think it will be an opportunity to show a different side of ONEUS, breaking away from our existing style in music and performance. I want to leave a significant impact that surpasses the previous ONEUS with this new music.

Keon Hee: Like the unknown variable 'x', ONEUS plans to continue various attempts without limitation. We want to write a new narrative as we continue to evolve.

Hwan Woong: As the album title '5x' indicates, we plan to keep all possibilities open in our activities. Starting with this new album, another story of ONEUS will unfold, so I hope you look forward to it.

Sion: I want to open a new chapter that showcases not only our performances but also a more diverse musical color of ONEUS.

Q. The album title using the unknown variable 'x' is impressive. Does each of you have a personal formula that you would like to assign to 'x'?

Lee Do: I want to assign 'challenge' to 'x'. I want ONEUS to be a group that constantly challenges itself and evolves.

Keon Hee: Since 'x' can be any number, I also want to try various challenges. When solving math problems, isn’t there often a question about finding the value of 'x'? I hope many people continue to wonder, 'What is ONEUS's x?'

Hwan Woong: I want to insert 'To Moon' (the fandom name) into 'x'. Through this activity, I want to convey a fivefold greater wonderful appearance and a fivefold greater love to our fans.

Sion: I want to assign 'cool breeze' to 'x'. We are making our comeback in the scorching summer, and I would like to give listeners a refreshing feeling with our unique summer song.

Q. What are the key points to watch for in the performance of the title track 'X', and how was the collaboration with Lenan, who participated in the choreography of aespa's 'Whiplash' and 'Armageddon'?

Hwan Woong: Since 'X' is based on a minimalist sound, we tried to express the performance simply yet impactfully. We considered the coordination among members to be the most important, which resulted in many tightly woven formations and choreographies. I believe there will be enjoyable key choreographies and killing parts throughout the stage. Also, it was my first collaboration with teacher Lenan, and I was really grateful for how passionately he taught us.

Q. What is your determination regarding the summer comeback battle?

Keon Hee: I am very excited to join the summer comeback competition with a song that harmonizes well with summer. I hope you feel the unique summer color of ONEUS. It's a song that allows us to play as passionately as summer, so I hope you enjoy it together.

Hwan Woong: As always, we are quietly walking our own path and feel more confident than ever. We plan to fully enjoy the stage like the vibe of a fast-paced song. I will give my all on stage without regrets, making my brother Seho, who is currently serving in the military, proud.
