A stalker who had threatened the safety of the group ENHYPEN was arrested in the act.

On the 30th, the agency BELIFLAB stated through a fan community platform, "We have repeatedly requested the cessation of actions that invade the artist's privacy, but the situation has not improved despite multiple warnings; instead, the severity has worsened," explaining the legal response related to violations of artist rights.

On that day, the agency said, "As a result, the mental and physical damage the artist is experiencing has reached a severe level, and we will take all possible measures, including legal actions, to protect the artist."

First, regarding legal actions against acts that threaten the artist's safety, such as stalking and invasion of privacy, the agency stated, "Recently, there has been a serious stalking incident where someone unlawfully entered the artist's accommodation and took illegal photos of the artist. We are aware of the situation and have reported it to the police for potential violations of the law regarding home invasion and stalking crimes."

BELIFLAB stated, "The suspects have been arrested in the act and are currently under police investigation. We are actively cooperating in the investigation to ensure that the suspects receive appropriate punishment according to relevant laws."

Previously, group BTS member Jungkook also experienced a similar incident. A woman in her 30s from China attempted to unlawfully enter his home on the day of his military service's commencement and was caught by the police responding to a report. The police arrested the woman in the act and are currently investigating her.

BELIFLAB explained, "Additionally, we have confirmed numerous posts that illegally obtain or falsely create the artist's personal information for sale and are responding accordingly. For example, we are taking active legal measures, including reporting accounts that sell the artist's personal information online to the Chinese public security."

The agency highlighted, "Acquiring the artist's phone number or residence address unlawfully to repeatedly contact the artist or visiting private spaces that are not the artist's residence or official schedule causes fear to the artist and constitutes a clear crime inflicting serious mental and physical damage." It added, "We are taking a strong stance with a zero-tolerance and no-settlement principle regardless of the suspects' nationalities, and their criminal records may serve as grounds for actions such as forced deportation and entry bans under immigration control laws."

Additionally, regarding acts of forging identification to attend or steal participation in fan events, the agency said, "These actions harm other fans and undermine fair opportunities for event participation. In cases where such acts are confirmed, both the lender and borrower of the identity will be excluded from future fan event applications and participation, and they may face criminal prosecution under relevant laws."

Finally, the agency promised, "We will hold all illegal acts that infringe on the artist's rights accountable to the fullest extent without leniency or settlement, regardless of the nationality of the perpetrator. We deeply appreciate the unwavering love and support from the ENGENEs towards ENHYPEN, and BELIFLAB will continue to do our best to protect the artist's rights."

Full notice from agency BELIFLAB

Hello.

This is BELIFLAB.

First, we deeply thank the ENGENEs who always send generous support and encouragement to ENHYPEN.

We have repeatedly requested the cessation of actions that invade the artist's privacy, but the situation has not improved despite multiple warnings; instead, the severity has worsened. As a result, the mental and physical damage the artist is experiencing has reached a severe level, and we will take all possible measures, including legal actions, to protect the artist. In this regard, we provide the following updates on ongoing matters.

1. Legal measures against acts threatening the artist's safety, such as stalking and invasion of privacy

Recently, serious stalking incidents occurred, including unlawfully entering the artist's residence and taking illegal photos of the artist. We are aware of the situation and have reported it to the police for potential violations of home invasion and stalking crime laws. The suspects have been arrested in the act and are currently under police investigation. We are actively cooperating in the investigation to ensure that the suspects receive appropriate punishment according to relevant laws.

Moreover, we have confirmed numerous posts that illegally obtain or falsely create the artist's personal information for sale and are responding accordingly. For example, we are taking active legal measures, including reporting accounts that sell the artist's personal information online to the Chinese public security.

Acquiring the artist's phone number or residence address unlawfully to repeatedly contact the artist or visiting private spaces that are not the artist's residence or official schedule causes fear to the artist and constitutes a clear crime inflicting serious mental and physical damage. We will continue to strengthen monitoring and take all possible civil and criminal legal actions against related illegal activities. We are responding strongly with a zero-tolerance and no-settlement principle, regardless of the suspects' nationalities, and their criminal records may serve as grounds for actions such as forced deportation and entry bans under immigration control laws.

2. Legal measures against infringement of personality rights, such as malicious slander and dissemination of false facts

We are continuously gathering evidence against malicious posts and comments involving insults, defamation, and sexual harassment against the artist through valuable tips from fans and real-time monitoring.

Specifically, we are conducting ongoing monitoring of domestic communities and portal sites, including NAVER, DAUM (Women’s Era, Jjukbbang, etc.), Nate, Theku, DC Inside, Instiz, Daily Best, Fm Korea, Weverse, and Postype, as well as music platforms (Melon, Bugs, GENIE MUSIC, etc.) and overseas social media channels (X, Instagram, YouTube, etc.). As a result, we have collected numerous pieces of evidence of malicious posts and comments that harm the artist's reputation and personality rights and have included all individuals responsible for writing excessive insults, mockery, personal attacks, sexual harassment, and unfounded false facts directed at the artist in the list of defendants and submitted complaints to the investigation authorities.

3. Legal measures against the acts of forging or using someone else's identification for participation in fan events

Recently, there has been an increase in cases of forging identification or using someone else's identity to apply for or participate in fan events. These actions also harm other fans and undermine fair opportunities for event participation. If such acts are confirmed, both the lender and borrower of the identity will be excluded from future fan event applications and participation, and may face criminal prosecution under relevant laws. We will continue to actively respond to such misconduct through complaints and reports to protect the artist and foster a healthy and proper fandom culture.

In pursuing these legal actions, the attention and reports from fans will be of great help. If you discover malicious posts related to the artist or illegal cases threatening the artist's safety, please actively report them through the ‘HYBE Artist Rights Violation Reporting Site.’ To ensure your report leads to more effective legal responses, please ensure that the information, including URL, poster, post date, post content, and capture date, is clearly visible, preferably using full-screen captures on a PC rather than mobile screenshots.

We promise to hold all illegal acts that infringe on the artist's rights accountable to the fullest extent without leniency or settlement, regardless of the nationality of the perpetrator. We deeply appreciate the unwavering love and support from the ENGENEs towards ENHYPEN, and BELIFLAB will continue to do our best to protect the artist's rights.

Thank you.
