Mukbang YouTuber-turned-mixed martial artist Bentz (real name Jeong Man-soo) announced plans to delete his YouTube channel, which has over 2 million subscribers.

On the 29th, Bentz posted on his YouTube community and Instagram stories, saying, “Hello, this is Bentz. I will keep my promise. I will upload the last video tomorrow.” This decision followed his defeat to Yoon Hyung-bin at the mixed martial arts event held the previous day.

Bentz faced comedian Yoon Hyung-bin in a special event match at the ‘Gupne RoadFC 073’ held at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 28th. The match was arranged after Bentz called out Yoon following his victory in the ‘Fighter 100’ match. Before the match, both parties drew attention by promising that the loser would delete their YouTube channel.

The result was a decisive victory for Yoon Hyung-bin. He finished the match by TKO in just 1 minute and 42 seconds into the first round, concluding his retirement match on a high note.

After the match, Yoon Hyung-bin said, “Knowing that Bentz was preparing hard made me more nervous and motivated to prepare harder. I’m very relieved to have a good result,” adding, “It was a retirement match in MMA, and my coach really supported me. I’m very grateful. I’m putting down my MMA gloves here, but I will always support you.”

The defeated Bentz said, “I am a fan of Yoon Hyung-bin. I am glad that he has a beautiful retirement, but personally, I am sad about the loss,” adding, “I lacked skill. It has been about 6 months since I started MMA. I will show a better version of myself.”

Yoon Hyung-bin joked, “It’s too bad about the channel deletion. How about posting my videos on Bentz's channel instead?” but Bentz insisted, “I will keep my promise,” maintaining his stance on deleting his YouTube channel. Fans expressed their disappointment over Bentz's decision while also cheering for his new beginning.
