Actress Park Bo-young revealed her honest feelings about her recent appearance on 'SNL Korea,' which has been a hot topic. She also explained why she does not throw the first pitch.

Park Bo-young passionately played the roles of twin sisters Yu-mi-rae and Yu-mi-ji, who are completely different except for their faces, in the tvN weekend drama 'Our Unwritten Seoul' (written by Lee Kang, directed by Park Shin-woo, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Monster Union and Highground), which ended on the 29th.

'Our Unwritten Seoul' is a romantic coming-of-age drama about twin sisters, who are completely different except for their faces, exchanging their lives through a lie to discover true love and life. Concluding with its 16th episode, 'Our Unwritten Seoul' steadily gained popularity after its first broadcast, wrapping up with praise due to relatable dialogue and the ensemble performances of the actors.

In her role as twin sisters Yu-mi-ji and Yu-mi-rae, who are completely different except for their faces, Park Bo-young challenged herself with her first dual role since her debut. She heightened immersion by precisely capturing the emotional gaps and psychological nuances between the two characters, building each character through action, gaze, and rhythm of breathing, flexibly expressing the psychological space between 'Yu-mi-ji' and 'Yu-mi-rae', and once again proving her title as a 'trustworthy actor.'

There is another issue that has recently attracted attention, akin to Park Bo-young's 'Our Unwritten Seoul.' It's her appearance on 'SNL Korea.' During the '4th Blue Dragon Series Awards Hand Printing Event' held on the 25th at CGV Yeouido in Seoul, Shin Dong-yeop's love call to Park Bo-young became a topic of discussion.

Attending the event were drama category winners Lim Si-wan, Park Bo-young, Ahn Jae-hong, Geum Hae-na, Lee Jeong-ha, and Go Youn-jung, along with entertainment category winners Shin Dong-yeop, Jang Doyoun, Kwak Jun-bin, and Yoon Ga-yi. Among them, Shin Dong-yeop persistently suggested to Park Bo-young, 'Please appear on 'SNL Korea',' to which Park Bo-young responded, 'I will seriously consider it.' In the end, Shin Dong-yeop requested, 'Please publish an article saying that Park Bo-young will appear on 'SNL Korea' someday, timing undecided.'

Following this, there has been much debate regarding Park Bo-young's appearance on 'SNL Korea.' While some believe that 'SNL Korea' is too risqué and does not align with Park Bo-young's image, others welcomed the potential to see a new side of her.

In a recent interview following the conclusion of 'Our Unwritten Seoul', Park Bo-young stated regarding her appearance on 'SNL Korea', 'I still don’t have the courage. It seems that appearing on 'SNL Korea' requires a lot of courage. I think I should go when I become a person who fits the purpose of that program. Not throwing the first pitch is similar; I think it’s better not to do it if I can’t do it properly.'

Although Park Bo-young is known to be a 'die-hard fan' of baseball, her lack of involvement in throwing the first pitch has raised questions. As the Hanwha Eagles, the team she supports, is performing well, there is attention on whether or not she will throw the first pitch.

Regarding this, Park Bo-young said, 'It's been quite a while since I've distanced myself from baseball. I distanced myself because my heart was troubled, and then the team started doing well. I thought perhaps things were going well because I wasn't watching, so I haven't been able to get close. I'm secretly checking but, of course, I'm cheering even if it’s not throwing the first pitch. As for the first pitch, I still don't know. I don't have confidence.'
