The drama ‘First Love DOGs,’ featuring actor Na In-woo, will also be released domestically.
On the 30th, the domestic OTT TVING announced that it would exclusively release the healing romance drama ‘First Love DOGs,’ co-produced for the first time by Studio Dragon and Japan’s TBS.
‘First Love DOGs’ is a healing romance where a third-generation chaebol from Korea, a veterinarian, and a lawyer, with different jobs and personalities, get intertwined through a pet dog that hides a huge secret, building friendships and healing wounds beyond misunderstandings and conflicts. The work portrays a warm story of individuals with different wounds breaking down emotional walls through their pets and gradually opening their hearts.
Starring are Korean actor Na In-woo and Japan’s Kaya Kiyohara and Ryo Narita. Na In-woo has showcased stable acting in the dramas ‘Marry My Husband’ and ‘Longing for You’, while Kaya Kiyohara is a promising actress loved by the public through TBS drama ‘Silent.’ Ryo Narita, a veteran actor with awards from the Japan Academy, is expected to add depth to the drama with his delicate inner performances.
‘First Love DOGs’ is high-quality content created by combining the production know-how of beloved Korean dramas with Studio Dragon and Japan’s TBS. The original work is based on the webtoon ‘Doggy Romance’ from Studio Toon, established by TBS in Korea, which is currently available on Naver Webtoon.
Regarding this, a TVING official noted, “‘First Love DOGs’ is a work that contains delicate emotional lines created by the intersection of Korean and Japanese sentiments and cultures centered around pets,” adding, “TVING will expand its points of contact with users through the provision of diverse content from various countries and will offer a richer and deeper viewing experience.”
‘First Love DOGs,’ produced as a total of 10 episodes, will have its first release on Wednesday, July 2, at 11 p.m., and will be released on TVING every Wednesday.
