Singer Park Seo-jin from 'Salim Nam 2' and Jinoo from Jinu's Mission became emotional as they thought about their precious families.
In the episode of KBS2TV's entertainment program 'Salim Nam 2' aired on 28th, Park Seo-jin, accompanied by his second brother Park Hyo-young, visited the hospital and photo studio with their father. Also appearing were Jinoo and Lim Sara, who made a long-awaited return to broadcast activities.
Park Seo-jin had a fracture in his leg from practice, but he didn't mind moving. Rather, he was only worried about his father, who never once mentioned his pain.
Park Seo-jin curtly remarked, 'Don’t worry about my leg; worry about Dad's leg,' but inside he felt, 'Since Dad is getting older, his leg isn't good. Recently, I've heard a lot about Dad getting hurt.'
Baek Ji-heon noted, 'Since Father works with fire, there is a risk of injury,' expressing his agreement. Eun Ji-won added, 'Our parents don't go far. They could fall while walking,' echoing the sentiment. Baek Ji-young articulated, 'To my father, the hospital is a place with too many painful memories. That's why he can't go there.'
After arriving at the photo studio, the three fathers, though awkward as Gyeongsang Province men, did their best to express their affection. Suddenly, their father asked if he could borrow a suit. He said, 'My father passed away at 53, and my mother at 63, but neither has a portrait. So, my mother had her photo enlarged, and my father had a painting made for the funeral. My sons may dislike it, but I want to take a portrait happily.'
With the first and second brothers having passed away, Park Seo-jin, the fourth of five siblings, was quite young compared to his father's age. Unlike his second brother, who was calm, he was overwhelmed with tears. The photo studio owner explained, 'It’s better to take it now. Isn’t a smiling face nice?' However, Park Seo-jin's heart was not easily soothed. He said, 'The meaning is good, but it’s a portrait. It feels like I'm preparing for Dad's last moments, and I'm trying to take it before his face changes, but seeing Dad calmly preparing makes me very sad,' and he ultimately wiped his tears.
Meanwhile, Jinoo showed a special sentiment towards his precious son Sio, whom he had at 51. Although he showcased his still-strong reputation during a collaboration stage with Jang Won-young, hailed as the top idol at last year’s Gayo Daechukje, Jinoo has not engaged in any other activities. Even with diabetes, Jinoo is doing his best with parenting and household chores. He had his own beliefs.
Jinoo commented, 'From 12 to 13 years old, parents are the best, after that friends are the best, and afterwards, significant others will become everything,' and expressed, 'Time is too short. I want to be close during those 12 or 13 years. I had him late; he is too precious, and I want to be together.'
Lim Sara encouraged him for external activities, but Jinoo insisted, 'I had him late, and I want to be with him. If I work, I have to leave him to someone else and distance myself. Sara is busy too. I dislike that.'
