Ha Ha honestly talked about the pressure he felt during 'Infinite Challenge' and his concerns after the change to a four-member system in 'How Do You Play?'.
On the afternoon of 28th, MBC's 'How Do You Play?' depicted Yoo Jae-suk, Ha Ha, Joo Woo-jae, and Lee Yi-kyung enjoying the 'Broadcasting Vacation' package at MBC.
That day, the members enjoyed their vacation at the MBC headquarters, relishing various services ranging from the infinity pool to skincare. During this time, the members explored the station's goods shop and discovered figures of the 'Infinite Challenge' members. Ha Ha was disappointed to see that Yoo Jae-suk's figure was sold out while there were many of his figure left.
In particular, Ha Ha felt dejected when he learned through an employee that not only did his figure sell less than those of Jung Joon-ha and Park Myung-soo, but there were also 100 units left in stock.
The members then moved to receive mind care and had a session with a counselor for mental health consultation. Ha Ha joked to the counselor, "We have to enhance our pains or shortcomings comedically, but today, seeing the leftover goods was fun. However, as I talked about it, I became sad."
Ha Ha then seriously stated that he would open up about the burden he felt during 'Infinite Challenge' and his sense of inferiority. He confessed, "I used to do a really tremendous program, and within 'Infinite Challenge,' there were already those complexes. There was also a sense of inferiority."
Ha Ha explained, "Of course, people would say I must be happy to have joined such a major program, which is true. It's indeed a tremendous gift from God, but within it, the responsibilities I had to bear were actually very burdensome. They weren't just competent individuals; they were entertainment geniuses. Just matching my pace with them was difficult and overwhelming. I was grateful, though. I knew that I was in a supporting role. As I went through it, I unintentionally developed a pretty severe sense of inferiority."
In response, the counselor advised that recognizing the problematic situation is important, stating that comparisons could be positive and could serve as a driving force for growth. The counselor also commented, "From watching the program, it seems that Yoo Jae-suk is a Director General-type practical worker, while Ha Ha functions as a middle manager, serving as a mediator between the upper and lower levels. There must have been stress and difficulties within that role."
Ha Ha expressed, "Thank you for acknowledging this. That's right. It seems I went through quite a tough time. Nonetheless, what I was grateful for was becoming a necessary person, and I found that position well. Ultimately, it's not about my own shine, but the program has to shine for me to fulfill my role in it."
"There were many changes in 'How Do You Play?' as well, and I don't know what will happen now that we are in a four-member system, but I have many concerns about whether I can lead well and if I will be helpful."
