Singer Kim Jaejoong visited the columbarium of actor Park Yong-hwa on the 15th anniversary of his passing.
On the 29th, Kim Jaejoong shared a photo from his visit to the late Park Yong-hwa's columbarium on personal social media, saying, "Hyung, the weather today is really incredible! Last year, it rained steadily, making me miss you even more, but today, thanks to the clear weather, it feels like I'm greeting you with a smile, which is even better."
He continued, "It's hard to believe that it's already been 15 years since you left," adding, "The world changes quickly, and precious memories of the past can fade over time, but you still hold a warm place in the hearts of many people."
As he reflected, Kim Jaejoong said, "Who could forget your warm smile and the passionate energy you showed, like today's weather?" He concluded, "Although it was brief, I won't forget the warmth of the inspiration you gave me, and I will strive to be someone who can share warmth with more people."
Kim Jaejoong, who was very close to the deceased, once again visited the columbarium this year to express his condolences. The longing conveyed in his writing brings a sense of heaviness.
Meanwhile, Park Yong-hwa made his debut as an MBC special casting actor through 'Theme Theater' in 1994 and delivered impactful performances in 'Iris' and 'Winter Sonata'. He also excelled as a singer, becoming the first Korean to win the Japan Golden Disc award four times in a row, setting new records.
However, Park Yong-hwa was found dead at his home in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on June 30, 2010, at the age of 33. At the time, police estimated that the cause of death was likely due to the stress of balancing his father's cancer treatment with his entertainment career and business.
