Singer Lee Hyori shared her recent experiences returning to Seoul after finishing her time in Jeju, as well as behind-the-scenes stories from her past activities after meeting Yoo Jae-suk and Yang Se-chan.
On the 28th, the YouTube channel 'Ddungddung' featured 'A meal together is just an excuse,' showcasing various stories shared among Lee Hyori, Yoo Jae-suk, and Yang Se-chan.
Lee Hyori began discussing her adaptation to the new environment after returning to Seoul from her long stay in Jeju. She humorously noted that, unlike her past avoidance of luxury items, she received a luxury bag from her husband, Lee Sang-soon. However, she mentioned that she still prefers comfortable clothing and doesn’t often carry the luxury bag.
She also didn't hide her affection for her husband, Lee Sang-soon, stating that his easygoing and positive nature is a great source of strength for her, and noted, "His seemingly indifferent consideration makes me comfortable," showcasing her unwavering love.
Furthermore, Lee Hyori mentioned that to adapt to the distinctly changed broadcasting environment and trends, she seeks advice from her juniors and maintains a learning attitude. She remarked that statements and situations that were taken for granted ten years ago could now be controversial, and she strives to be cautious with her words.
She also revealed that during her time with Fin.K.L, she established the 'princess syndrome' character based on advice from the producer while appearing on a variety show. Lee Hyori recalled that initially, she felt awkward with the character, but as she gradually became accustomed to it, she received great love from the public. She reminisced about her first meeting with Yoo Jae-suk, saying, "They said a famous MC was coming, and Yoo Jae-suk came dressed in a grasshopper costume," which elicited laughter.
In particular, she shared her feelings of pressure from the immense public attention during her solo activities, confessing that she sometimes turned to alcohol to relax, which elicited sympathy. Therefore, Lee Hyori chose the life in Jeju to escape the tension and found peace in nature with her husband, Lee Sang-soon.
Lee Hyori also mentioned her future activity plans. She revealed that she is looking for collaborations with various artists for her new album and surprised listeners by stating that she sent a DM to G-Dragon proposing a collaboration. Notably, she expressed a desire to work not by leading everything as before, but by receiving help from those around her and creating together.
