Aespa achieved over 1.01 million pre-orders with their single "Dirty Work," announcing a spectacular comeback.
The single "Dirty Work," which will be released today at 1 p.m. on various music sites, surpassed approximately 1.01 million pre-orders (as of June 26), continuing the success of previously released mini album "Girls," mini album "MY WORLD," mini album "Drama," regular album "Armageddon," and mini album "Whiplash," and is on track to become aespa's sixth million seller.
This single consists of a total of four tracks, including the double title track "Dirty Work," a featuring version with Flo Milli, an English version, and an instrumental. The track "Dirty Work" is a dance song characterized by a captivating synth bass and cool vocal melodies, allowing listeners to enjoy aespa's unique vocal charm with lyrics that convey an assertive message and a cool and chill vibe.
Aespa, known for popularizing short-form challenges with their intense focal choreography, is expected to deliver a powerful impact with this song, featuring a contrasting dance style from hip and intense movements to relaxed, sexy vibes, as well as dance break sections showcasing each member's unique personalities and an energetic final chorus that matches the building music.
Additionally, the music video, which will be opened simultaneously on the YouTube SMTOWN channel, was filmed at Hyundai Steel's Dangjin plant, adding a sense of industrial reality with a vast yard, massive heavy equipment, and 225 extras. Aespa members will transform into fearless resistance figures willing to undertake any "dirty work" for their teammates, promising stunning visuals.
Meanwhile, aespa's single "Dirty Work" will also be released today as a physical album featuring the title track and instrumental. On July 4, a limited edition of "Dirty Work" (Dirty Crew Ring Ver.) will be launched, embodying the meaning of "consolidation" that connects aespa with their official fan club, MY.
