'Chungdam International High School 2' has released stills featuring Lee Jong-hyuk and Park Si-woo, who will drive the flow of the plot.
Set to premiere on July 3 at 5 p.m., this new drama (directed by Lim Dae-woong and Park Hyung-won, written by Kwak Young-im) is a high teen psychological thriller that combines a power game at the elite Chungdam International High School with a youth romance.
Lee Jong-hyuk plays the role of Seo Do-eun, who loves Kim Hae-in (played by Jang Seong-yun) as the 'Diamond 6' King at Chungdam International High School. In the previous season, Do-eun learned the shocking news that Hae-in had fallen from the rooftop, and he approached Kim Hye-in (played by Lee Eun-saem) to uncover the secrets of the incident. In the process, Do-eun grew suspicious of Hae-in's identity, adding tension to the plot. In this season, he attempts to restore his relationship with Hae-in but faces another shocking truth, leading him into an emotional whirlwind.
Meanwhile, Park Si-woo, who plays Min Yul-hee, the second-in-command of the 'Diamond 6', is expected to showcase a distinct presence, portraying a villainess of an entirely different caliber. Yul-hee, who pushed Hae-in off the rooftop after establishing an inappropriate relationship with her fiancé Park Woo-jin (played by Jang Deok-soo), continues her unimaginable evil deeds in Season 2. Even when Hae-in, who was in a comatose state due to Yul-hee's actions, returns to school, Yul-hee shows no reaction, which is expected to provoke viewers' anger.
Relatedly, in stills released today (26th), Lee Jong-hyuk and Park Si-woo exude a powerful presence that catches the eye.
In the stills, Lee Jong-hyuk is seen holding a pen and gazing at something, exuding the king aura of the 'Diamond 6'. His gaze, which has become significantly firmer than before, hints at the narrative of Do-eun growing as he confronts the truth surrounding Hae-in's fall, sparking curiosity.
Additionally, Park Si-woo is shown fixated on something disturbing while looking at her smartphone. Her expression of discontent and cold gaze perfectly align with the character of Min Yul-hee, who does not hesitate to engage in unimaginable evil deeds, heightening anticipation for Park Si-woo's new villainous narrative.
In particular, the two have left a deep impression since Season 1, and expectations are high for their performance that is sure to provide intense immersion.
Meanwhile, 'Chungdam International High School 2,' which announces the return of high teen psychological thrillers with an even more solid story, will premiere on July 3 (Thursday) at 5 p.m. on Netflix, Wavve, Tving, and will also air on the general channel MBN at 12:10 a.m. on July 5 (Saturday).
