The music video for SEVENTEEN (S.COUPS, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino)'s 'MAESTRO' surpassed 100 million views on YouTube on the morning of the 26th.
The title track 'MAESTRO' from SEVENTEEN's best album '17 IS RIGHT HERE' is a dance R&B genre song marked by a strong piano sound and contains a message of 'let's gather as various people, conduct our world, and become the best leading the flow.' The music video, depicting who the true maestro is in a world where anything can be created with AI, maximizes the grand atmosphere of the song with SEVENTEEN's unique charisma and energy.
This song dominated the top tiers of major music sites, including Melon, Genie, and Bugs, immediately after its release last April and gained immense popularity both domestically and internationally, charting in the U.S. Billboard 'Global 200' and 'Global (excluding U.S.)' for four consecutive weeks. In April, it surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, marking SEVENTEEN's 14th song to achieve over 100 million streams.
SEVENTEEN has a total of eight music videos with over 100 million views. There are music videos for 'Don't Wanna Cry' and 'SONOKONG' with 200 million views, as well as music videos that exceeded 100 million views including 'MAESTRO,' 'Clap,' 'Very NICE,' 'Left & Right,' 'HOT,' and 'Rock with You.'
SEVENTEEN drew a hot response with their regular 5th album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY,' released last month. The new album set a record for the highest initial sales (album sales within one week after release) of 2.52 million copies among K-pop albums released this year. Additionally, it entered the main album chart 'Billboard 200' at a tie for its best ranking of 2nd, succeeding in charting for three consecutive weeks.
