Sora Aoi, a 44-year-old former adult video (AV) actress turned broadcaster from Japan, has spoken out regarding the prostitution controversy surrounding former The Boyz member Joo Haknyeon, 26.
On the 24th, Sora Aoi posted a short phrase on her X (formerly Twitter) in both Japanese and Korean stating, 'AV actresses are not prostitutes,' indirectly referencing the issue.
She added, 'The wrong thing was the behavior that led to the leak of such suspicious photos.' She continued, 'Why specifically AV actresses, what about the status of AV actresses?'
This is interpreted as her expressing her opinion regarding the leaked photos of Joo Haknyeon, who is embroiled in the prostitution allegations, alongside AV actress Asuka.
Recently, allegations related to prostitution surfaced when a photo featuring Joo Haknyeon and Asuka was made public, resulting in his exclusion from The Boyz team. Subsequently, Joo Haknyeon has been in conflict with his agency, describing it as an unilateral expulsion.
