Kkokkomu will spotlight the 'Murder case of Army Sergeant Yeom Soon-deok' in the special 'The Real Trilogy.' Twenty-four years after the incident, profiler Yoo Chang-won uncovers new truths.

The SBS special 'Kkokkomu: The Real' will be broadcast over three weeks starting today (26th), presenting a vivid and in-depth account from profiler Yoo Chang-won, profiler Kwon Il-yong, and retrial attorney Park Jun-young, who will each share a once-in-a-lifetime story they want to convey from the events they know, exploring many cases, accidents, the harsh realities of crime, and the heartbreaking tears of victims.

The first story, 'Murder case of Army Sergeant Yeom Soon-deok,' focuses on one of the worst unsolved cases in Korea's military history, tracking the truth of that day, which has remained a question for 24 years. Additionally, Winner's Kang Seung-yoon and actress Ok Ja-yeon will appear as listeners, while Kkokkomu's storyteller Jang Doyoun will make her debut as a listener, forming a remarkable combination with storyteller Yoo Chang-won, which has garnered much attention.

The broadcast will highlight the day in 2001 when Sergeant Yeom Soon-deok, serving as a supply officer in the 1st Armored Brigade, attended a unit dinner and returned as a cold corpse. Sergeant Yeom's death became a dark mystery when blood was found on a sweet persimmon stick, leading to strong suspect candidates emerging and the case being presumed a murder driven by resentment. However, the military police hastily closed the case as unsolved after just four months of a rushed investigation. Moreover, Jang Doyoun expressed her frustration that the promise to bury him at the National Cemetery had not been fulfilled, stating, "I am just someone who listens to the story, with no relations to the bereaved family, yet I am so angry. I believe this shouldn't happen to individuals."

However, 15 years later, as new investigations unfold, it appears increasingly likely that the perpetrator is within the military, and organized cover-up circumstances, including those involving the Defense Security Command, are discovered, dramatically changing the situation. Profiler Yoo Chang-won, who directly tracked the shocking truths intertwined with lies, betrayal, obfuscation, and the suicides of key related figures, noted, "I have analyzed over 1,000 cases, but I've never seen a case as astounding as this," helping to explain why the 'Murder case of Army Sergeant Yeom Soon-deok' is deemed one of the worst unsolved cases.

Above all, on this day, the broadcast will be the first to reveal new truths discovered by the Kkokkomu production team and Yoo Chang-won during their thorough review of Sergeant Yeom's case records, 24 years after the incident. The floppy disk handed over by the bereaved family contained a clue that no investigative agency had ever found before. Furthermore, Yoo Chang-won will confront the prime suspect to directly pursue the truth, with the suspect sharing stories for the first time in public, captured in the broadcast. It has been reported that Jang Doyoun, Kang Seung-yoon, and Ok Ja-yeon expressed their anger and grief over the shocking and vivid stories of that day.

The thrilling and more intense story of tracking the fragments of truth buried for 24 years can be confirmed in today's (26th) main broadcast of the first part of the 'Murder case of Army Sergeant Yeom Soon-deok' from the Kkokkomu special: The Real trilogy.

Meanwhile, Kkokkomu is a program where three storytellers share their own experiences learned through self-study with their respective story friends, delivering these in a one-on-one setting in the most ordinary spaces, airing every Thursday at 10:20 p.m. on SBS.
