Actor Ryu-eun has been cast in 'The Flower of Death.'
According to OSEN's report on the 26th, actor Ryu-eun will appear in the new drama 'The Flower of Death' (working title).
Previously, Ryu-eun played the role of Park Hu-min, the captain of the Silver Gang, in the Netflix series 'Weak Hero Class 2.' Although he is skilled in fighting, he only uses his fists for school and friends, and he has led the success of 'Weak Hero 2' while showcasing exceptional chemistry with actor Park Ji-hoon.
'The Flower of Death,' in which Ryu-eun stars in his next project, is a crime thriller based on a novel of the same name, depicting a serial killer who claims to be able to cure all human diseases while murdering innocent citizens under the guise of human experimentation. The story intensely portrays a lawyer who must save him for his sick daughter and a prosecutor who is determined to punish him for the innocent victims.
Ryu-eun will play the role of a medical school dropout and a serial killer who murdered many under the name of human experimentation, expected to show a new side of himself.
'The Flower of Death' is produced by IOK Content Group, which has also produced 'Love Scout,' 'Dear Hongrang,' and 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy.' Currently, the casting is in the final stages, and filming is expected to begin next month as soon as casting and setup are finalized.
Meanwhile, Ryu-eun debuted in 2017 with the drama 'Temperature of Love' and has since appeared in dramas such as 'Doctor Prisoner,' '365: Opposing Destiny for 1 Year,' '18 Again,' 'Oh! Samkwang Villa!,' 'Those Who Read the Evil Mind,' 'Flower Scholar's Love Story,' 'Shining Watermelon,' 'Namib,' 'A History of Losers,' and 'Weak Hero Class 2.'
