The son of former national fencing sabre representative Kim Joon-ho, Jung-woo, ranked in the 1st percentile of development.
On the 25th, KBS2TV's entertainment program "The Return of Superman" (hereafter "Superman is Back") depicted the story of Kim Joon-ho and his son Jung-woo, who visited a center to assess Jung-woo's developmental level, as well as the family of Park In-bee and Nam Gi-hyeob.
Park In-bee decided to go camping, a hobby she had pursued since before her marriage. However, it was a somewhat difficult story for Nam Gi-hyeob, who would say yes to his wife's requests without question. This was because caring for the children while camping was not an easy task.
Nam Gi-hyeob said, "I'll take them to play in the yard," but added, "They probably won't like it much," evading the issue, but that was out of the question. In the end, the family went camping in a sunny place. Nam Gi-hyeob and Park In-bee played golf with a wager on dinner. It was a close call, but Nam Gi-hyeob couldn't compete with the golf queen Park In-bee.
Park In-bee said, "In-seo always swings a golf club at home, but she struggles with it because it's too big for her body. So, I wanted to give her a golf club that fits her body," and she spent time for her daughter.
Nam Gi-hyeob brought out a large lobster for dinner. Park In-bee requested specific cooking instructions, saying, "You cut the body in half, and if it splits, you melt mozzarella cheese and butter." However, she was a bit disappointed when only the meat of the lobster was taken out, and steam was rising.
Soon, the beef ribs appeared. Ahn Young-mi exclaimed, "Beef ribs! They're delicious, right?" Nam Gi-hyeob humorously remarked, "Honey, why is it that what we have prepared today is only what I've done?" eliciting laughter. Park In-bee's daughters enjoyed the beef ribs very much, making their father proud.
Jung-woo underwent various physical training. Concerned about his son's path, which included overflowing strength, sportsmanship, and persistence, Kim Joon-ho decided to test Jung-woo's talents. Kim Joon-ho asked, "Do you want to fence, do taekwondo, or do hapkido?" but Jung-woo stubbornly shouted fencing.
Kim Joon-ho noted, "Jung-woo is not at an age where he can grasp fencing. I just hope he has fun!" and they engaged in various physical training, including air climbing and stepping stones.
The coach diagnosed Jung-woo's developmental level, stating, "His muscle mass surpasses that of an average child," and added, "The arch of the foot forms between ages 3 and 6, and he has an excellent level of arch growth compared to his peers." He further commented, "When climbing things like a rock wall, he pushes off with the soles of his feet, and Jung-woo has good ankle strength. It's activities like balance beams and vaulting that peers cannot do," and emphasized that "he should be engaged in sports from a young age," actively recommending Jung-woo's future.
In response, Kim Joon-ho said, "I've never considered a career in sports. I'm wondering if Jung-woo has talent in sports and whether I should put him in them. A sense of worry is predominant. Since he is considered in the top 1% based on professional data, and his small and stocky physique may be a disadvantage in fencing, if he participates in sports, I would rather recommend golf instead of fencing to Jung-woo."
