Singer Lim Young-min is parting ways with his agency after 9 years.
On the 26th, Lim Young-min announced the news of his contract termination to fans by posting a handwritten letter through his personal account.
That day, Lim Young-min said, "After stepping into Brand New Music as a trainee in 2016, 9 years have passed, and in 2025, I am now starting anew. I sincerely thank those at Brand New Music who have walked with me during this time, and the steadfast support from CEO Raimer."
He continued, "And above all, I sincerely thank the fans who have watched over me with unwavering love and support. It was thanks to the warm hearts of the fans that I was able to endure these moments and dream. Now, I plan to face you on a new stage. It may feel a bit unfamiliar and quite scary, but because there are those who continue to support me, I will muster the courage to take a step forward."
Lim Young-min concluded, saying, "I would appreciate it if you would kindly watch over my journey ahead with warm eyes and support me. Please stay with me. I truly love you, and thank you."
Meanwhile, on that day, Brand New Music's label Brand New A also released a statement, saying, "We inform you that the exclusive contract with our artist Lim Young-min has been terminated. After in-depth discussions regarding future activities, both parties agreed to mutually terminate the exclusive contract."
