Singer Lim Young-min, who previously suspended activities due to drunk driving, has ended his exclusive contract with his agency, Brand New Music.

On the 26th, Brand New A (BRANDNEW-A), a label under Brand New Music, officially stated, "We inform you that our exclusive contract with artist Lim Young-min has ended."

Brand New A stated, "After in-depth discussions regarding future activities, we mutually agreed to terminate the exclusive contract with Lim Young-min," and added, "We sincerely thank everyone for the interest and love shown to Lim Young-min during this time."

Lim Young-min is a singer who gained recognition for his appearance on the cable TV program 'Produce 101 Season 2' in 2017. He gained significant popularity during the broadcast of 'Produce 101 Season 2' for his cute appearance and also participated in the unit MXM with Kim Dong-hyun. He later debuted as the leader of AB6IX in May 2019.

However, he withdrew from the team after being caught drunk driving in June 2020, just a year after his debut. At the time, Lim Young-min was reported to have driven under the influence after drinking with acquaintances and was moving to his lodging in his own car. Coincidentally, this happened just 4 days before AB6IX's comeback, which sparked further criticism.

Since then, Lim Young-min has been active as a solo artist starting in 2023, after a 3-year hiatus. On the 3rd of last month, he took the stage at a fan party during 'K-pop Week in Hongdae.'
