Actors Ryeoun and GeumSaerok will collaborate in "The Flower of Death."
According to OSEN on the 26th, actors Ryeoun and GeumSaerok will appear in the new drama "The Flower of Death."
"The Flower of Death" is a crime thriller genre based on the novel of the same name, depicting a serial killer who claims to have the technology to cure all human diseases while murdering innocent citizens under the guise of human experimentation. The story intensely portrays a lawyer who must keep the serial killer alive for his sick daughter and a prosecutor determined to punish him for the innocent victims.
In the drama, Ryeoun plays the character of a medical school dropout and serial killer who has murdered many under the guise of human experimentation, while GeumSaerok is set to play the prosecutor determined to ensure that this serial killer is sentenced to death.
In particular, in his previous work, Ryeoun played the role of the justice-driven leader of a group in the Netflix series "Weak Hero Class 2." He is a character who excels in fighting but only uses his strength for his school and friends, showcasing unique chemistry with actor Park Jihoon and leading the success of "Weak Hero 2." Attention is focused on the villain role Ryeoun will portray.
GeumSaerok also shone in the weekend household through her role as the strong-willed youngest daughter Lee Da-rim in her previous work "Iron Family." With her unique charm and delicate acting capturing viewers, she is set to take on a new acting transformation into the crime thriller genre with her upcoming project "The Flower of Death."
The production of "The Flower of Death" is jointly undertaken by EO Contents Group, known for projects like "Love Scout," "Dear Hongrang," and "Gyeonwoo and the Fairy," along with Content Z, which produced "Pain," "Neighbors," and "Wolf Hunting," and the upcoming drama "Twelve," starring Ma Dong-seok, scheduled to air in August. The drama is currently in the final casting phase, and filming will begin next month once casting and set preparations are completed.
Meanwhile, Ryeoun debuted in 2017 in the drama "Temperature of Love" and has appeared in dramas such as "Doctor Prisoner," "365: One Year Against Destiny," "18 Again," "Oh! Samkwang Villa!," "Those Who Read the Minds of Evil," "Flower Scholar's Love Story," "Watermelon Slices," "Namib," "A History of Losers," and "Weak Hero Class 2."
GeumSaerok debuted through advertisements in 2011 and became known through the drama "Shall We Live Together?" Since then, she has showcased her unwavering acting skills by appearing in various works such as "The Fiery Priest," "Youth of May," and "Understanding of Love." Additionally, she has consistently performed across genres, with the film "A Breakfast Meeting for the Heartbroken" set to be released.
