From model student to actor, Choo Young-Woo, who received love calls from major agencies, candidly shared the behind-the-scenes of his debut and family stories.

In the web entertainment show 'Salon Drip 2' EP. 96, released on the YouTube channel 'Channel 15ya' on 24th, actor Choo Young-Woo appeared as a guest and had a lively conversation with MC Jang Doyoun.

When Jang Doyoun asked, 'Do you feel your popularity these days?' Choo Young-Woo said, 'I think I've become a son that can treat my friends to meals and support my parents.' He added, 'Since I don't often wear a hat or mask, people often recognize me at the gym and in parks. Then I greet them happily.' He continued, 'These days, I'm living as if I'm just watching celebrities.'

During his school days, he lived a life far removed from the entertainment industry, being a 'model student.' Choo Young-Woo recalled, 'I originally just studied. I liked science, so I dreamed of being a biological researcher,' adding, 'I worked hard enough to have ranked 1st or 2nd in class.'

However, an unexpected path opened up. During high school, he received casting offers from major agencies. He said, 'I received quite a few love calls from idol agencies. I definitely heard from JYP and other famous places,' adding, 'Being from Chungcheong-do, I never imagined being a celebrity in Seoul, yet I was cast at Daejeon Station and Seoul Station. I think I was pretty back then,' he laughed. When Jang Doyoun asked, 'Do you not look in the mirror now?' he replied, 'I still brag about it to my parents. They were happy, but they just regarded it as a fun event.'

Choo Young-Woo's entertainment DNA also runs in his family. His father was a model, and his younger brother is actor Jeong Woo-In. He humorously shared that, during his first radio appearance, his family sent stories anonymously but his names 'Choo Jeong-Woo' and 'Choo Seung-Il' were mentioned directly on air, saying, 'Even now, my father and brother kick the blankets laughing about it.'

Regarding watching his performances with family, he said, 'It's not awkward at all to watch my acting with my family. Even if it's bad, it's not uncomfortable.' He added, 'My father, who is a senior model, advises me to 'smile prettily' and 'think you are the best when taking pictures.' Now, they just trust me and let me do my thing,' conveying his family love.

The boy who was a study bug is now growing into an actor that Chungmuro is paying attention to. With sincere acting and a natural charm, Choo Young-Woo continues to show 'more than possibilities.'
