The group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) continues to maintain its popularity on the U.S. Billboard main album chart.
According to the latest chart released by Billboard on the 24th (local time) (dated June 28), SEVENTEEN's 5th studio album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' is at 126th on the 'Billboard 200'. This album previously entered the chart at 2nd, tying the record for SEVENTEEN's highest ranking, and has remained in the rankings for 3 weeks.
'HAPPY BURSTDAY' also showed strong performance on various subcharts. It rose to 3rd on the 'World Albums' chart, and held 5th and 6th positions on the 'Top Current Album Sales' and 'Top Album Sales' charts, respectively.
The title track 'THUNDER' successfully charted for 4 consecutive weeks, ranking 62nd on the 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' and 128th on the 'Global 200' charts.
SEVENTEEN is enjoying 'long-run popularity' with their 5th studio album released last month. 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' surpassed 2.52 million copies in initial sales (sales within the first week of release), setting a record for the highest sales of any K-Pop album released this year. The title track reached number one on major domestic music charts such as Melon and Bugs, and remained in the top ranks for an extended period. Thanks to this, SEVENTEEN added another music show trophy even after the end of their promotions, showcasing their presence as 'the top group in K-Pop.'
SEVENTEEN is set to engage fans today (25th) at 9 p.m. through their official team social media and the global superfan platform Weverse with a new season of their own content 'GOING SEVENTEEN,' which is described as 'an infinite challenge in K-Pop.'
