In 'I'm Sunny Thank You', Kim Sung-joo, Kang So-ra, Woo-gi, and Zhang Hao will unite as MCs.
The new MBC entertainment show 'I'm Sunny Thank You', which will first air on July 5, features actors from the film 'Sunny' rediscovering the importance of each other through travel. Like the movie 'Sunny', which begins with a reunion with long-lost friends, 'I'm Sunny Thank You' will also focus on 'reunion', presenting the witty and honest stories of the 'Sunny' seven princesses in unique locations.
Previously, the production team of 'I'm Sunny Thank You' drew attention by releasing an official poster featuring Kang So-ra, Kim Bo-mi, Kim Min-young, and Lee Eun-ji standing side by side in traditional attire and accessories of the exotic location. Curiosity and anticipation were raised regarding the travel destination they would visit, why Lee Eun-ji, who is not a 'Sunny' seven princess actress, is joining the journey, and how the other seven princess actors will appear.
Amid this, on the 24th, the lineup of studio MCs, which will enhance the viewing pleasure of 'I'm Sunny Thank You', was revealed, drawing attention. The four stars are Kim Sung-joo, Kang So-ra, Woo-gi (from I-DLE), and Zhang Hao (from ZEROBASEONE). The combination of their unique charms and abilities, coupled with a pairing never seen before, greatly heightens expectations.
The nationally recognized MC Kim Sung-joo will take responsibility for the studio of 'I'm Sunny Thank You' with his smooth hosting skills and cheerful talk. As a veteran in many travel entertainment programs, he is expected to pinpoint the fun aspects of friendship trips more clearly than anyone else. Kang So-ra, who has traveled as an actress from 'Sunny', is expected to be a symbolic presence in 'I'm Sunny Thank You', serving as a studio MC. She is projected to capture the audience by sharing comfortable presentations, episodes and behind-the-scenes stories experienced during the trip, and friendship stories of 'Sunny' actors.
The joining of junior and senior idols Woo-gi and Zhang Hao also draws attention. Their participation as MCs is closely related to the travel destination of 'I'm Sunny Thank You', as it was the same place Kang So-ra and her friends traveled to, which is China. The two are expected not only to fulfill their roles as the youngest on 'I'm Sunny Thank You' with their vibrant contributions, but also to share local stories that we were not aware of, enhancing the show's appeal as a travel entertainment program.
In this regard, the production team of 'I'm Sunny Thank You' stated, "Veteran MC Kim Sung-joo, Kang So-ra who traveled, and the cute and enjoyable youngest line Woo-gi and Zhang Hao. The four MCs already delivered plenty of laughter with their cheerful reactions and perfect chemistry from the very first recording. We hope for much interest and anticipation from the viewers."
The film 'Sunny', which premiered in 2011 and attracted 7.45 million viewers, enjoyed nation-wide love. Through the reunion of the seven princess actresses who have portrayed cheerful (sunny) friendship for 15 years since 'Sunny', 'I'm Sunny Thank You' aims to capture both laughter and emotion, and it will first air at 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 5.
