Former Jewelry member Jo Min-a conveyed her heartfelt feelings as a mother while sharing the news of her son's injury.
Jo Min-a posted a lengthy message along with a photo of a sweet red bean rice cake for her son on her social media on the 24th. She stated, "I have been making sweet red bean rice cakes every year from the first hundred days to his tenth birthday," adding, "This is because I believe that the red beans and glutinous millet prevent negative energy and help him grow healthily."
However, despite that belief, recently Kang-ho was involved in another unfortunate accident. Jo Min-a revealed, "Two weeks ago, Kang-ho experienced a major accident that tore his face," stating, "I tried to think that it's fortunate he's only injured to this extent, but my heart has been heavy for the past two weeks with the guilt and sadness of not being able to protect him."
She continued, "It was an accident that happened in an instant, and due to the effects of the medical strike, we had to travel around hospitals before finally getting the surgery," expressing gratitude to her son for successfully completing the surgery despite the difficult situation. She added, "Fortunately, Kang-ho has been brave every moment and is recovering well from the surgery."
Jo Min-a noted, "As time passes, the wounds will fade, and the pain will be forgotten. While enduring that difficult process together, my child and I are becoming more resilient and solid." She expressed her deep affection and commitment towards her son, saying, "We learn about the world with our whole bodies and grow together."
Jo Min-a joined the group Jewelry in 2002 and left in 2006. After her time in the group, she also worked as an actress, announcing her marriage and pregnancy in November 2020 and giving birth to her first son in June of the following year. However, after her divorce in 2022, she has been raising her son alone. She is currently reported to be working as an insurance planner.
