Song Jae-hee recalled the story of losing his first twin in the past.
On the 23rd broadcast of SBS 'Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2: You Are My Destiny,' actor Song Jae-hee explained why he could not be happy about his wife Ji So-yeon’s pregnancy news with twins.
After finishing a morning live broadcast, Song Jae-hee prepared breakfast for his daughter Hae-eul. While Song Jae-hee took care of his daughter, 20-week pregnant twin mother Ji So-yeon took a morning nap.
When his daughter finished her meal, Song Jae-hee quickly wiped the table clean and organized the toys meticulously, drawing attention. Song Jae-hee emphasized, "I must do the dishes before going out."
While taking care of his daughter, Song Jae-hee also practiced his lines, stating, "I’m reading the script since I’ll be entering a play this time," which caught attention. Ji So-yeon mentioned, "I’m really grateful that you’re sending the kids. But there's little time to spend with them, and since the child speaks slowly, I hope you can talk to them and read them some books."
In response, Lee Ji-hye expressed concern, saying, "It's an important time for communication with the child." Lee Hyun said, "Cleaning up toys right away is something that parenting experts advise against." To this, Song Jae-hee stubbornly replied, "That parenting expert must be someone who can't clean."
Song Jae-hee busily moved around, taking care of the child before heading off to school. Meanwhile, Ji So-yeon woke up, and Kim Sook, seeing this, remarked, "Your husband takes care of the child so well that he’s up now," which made everyone laugh. Ji So-yeon added, "Usually, there isn’t much time to relax like that even on weekends."
Meanwhile, on that day, Ji So-yeon brought up how she felt upset with Song Jae-hee in front of the family. Ji So-yeon said, "When I was pregnant with the first child, he treated me so well. When I mentioned that I liked apples, he called the orchard to get apples for me, and I ate apples throughout the 10 months. I loved being pregnant so much that people around me started calling me a prenatal evangelist."
Ji So-yeon recounted her disappointment, saying, "For the second and third, when they mentioned twins, he told me not to jump to conclusions and didn’t seem happy."
Song Jae-hee stated, "During the pregnancy, I couldn't celebrate freely because it was the first twin as well," adding, "I wasn’t particularly fond of the idea at first, but I felt so good when I heard about the twins. Although the gender wasn't revealed, I imagined a lot by myself."
Song Jae-hee said, "Suddenly, one child was reported missing. When the teacher spoke, I felt like my heart stopped."
Song Jae-hee noted, "Soyeon was pregnant, and since one child was missing, I couldn't show my emotions. But later, I cried a lot," expressing, "It was so painful as if one child had disappeared."
Song Jae-hee shared, "Then, the doctor advised us to monitor it a bit longer, and I couldn’t accept the twins. I thought I was in pain, but I realized Soyeon might be hurting too," which drew attention. In response, his father-in-law said, "I understand now."
