2PM member Jang Wooyoung is set to release his digital single 'Simple dance' today (23rd) and make his comeback as a solo artist.
Jang Wooyoung will announce his solo comeback work 'Simple dance' at 6 p.m. on the 23rd. This new release comes about 7 years and 5 months after the mini album 'When We Part' released in January 2018, and it brings immense joy to fans who have been eagerly waiting for his new work.
'Simple dance' is a song written and composed by Jang Wooyoung himself. It reaffirms Jang Wooyoung's musical capabilities as a singer-songwriter who created the 2PM comeback song 'Gotta Be You' after 5 years, as well as solo tracks like 'R.O.S.E,' 'It's All the Same,' 'Thud,' and 'Off the record.'
The lyrics liken the hope of shining brightly again after the cold time they experienced together to a dance resembling a spark. As a synth-pop genre track, it focuses on the texture of synth sounds, maintaining a simple yet danceable feel, while the dynamic synth drums and guitar performance at the center of the theme further expand the vocal performance.
'Born dancer' and 'performance master' Jang Wooyoung, known for his reputation, beautifully merges with the title 'Simple dance,' expanding the realm of dance he presents. The previously released music video teaser captured the moments of those immersed in dance, surrendering their bodies to the music. Jang Wooyoung appears moving with droplets of sweat glistening and his hair slightly damp, allowing listeners to gently immerse themselves in 'Simple dance.'
Recently showcasing his sense of entertainment and talent through Netflix's 'Driver: Finding the Lost Handle,' Jang Wooyoung is set to further demonstrate his multi-faceted activities this summer as an 'all-around artist' with the return of his main job as a singer.
Jang Wooyoung will officially present his new digital single 'Simple dance' at 6 p.m. today (23rd), and at 7 p.m., he will hold a comeback live broadcast on the official 2PM YouTube channel to interact with fans.
