Yoo Jae-suk donated 50 million won to support menstrual products for adolescent girls.

On the 23rd, the international development cooperation NGO G Foundation (CEO Park Chung-kwan) announced that broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk donated 50 million won to support adolescent girls in a health and hygiene blind spot.

This donation aims to help adolescent girls who struggle due to a lack of menstrual products grow up healthy in a hygienic and safe environment, and it will be used for the 'health and hygiene support project' that G Foundation conducts for vulnerable adolescent girls in Korea. The plan is to create menstrual product kits consisting of menstrual products, feminine hygiene products, underwear, and pouches, which will be distributed to adolescent girls nationwide.

Since starting his relationship with G Foundation in April 2020, Yoo Jae-suk has quietly practiced philanthropy, continuing to donate a total of 350 million won. He has supported various health and hygiene projects and cultural education initiatives by G Foundation, including the provision of menstrual product kits, improving complex sanitation facilities, and providing education and cultural support, consistently joining hands with marginalized neighbors, including vulnerable adolescent girls.

Yoo Jae-suk said, "I believe everyone has the right to grow up with dignity. I hope children do not feel diminished due to everyday inconveniences or wounds, and I continue to donate with that sentiment. I hope this support becomes a small but warm encouragement for adolescent girls."

CEO Park Chung-kwan of G Foundation stated, "Mr. Yoo Jae-suk's donation is a valuable opportunity to provide necessary hygiene products to adolescent girls suffering from a lack of menstrual products" and added, "Thank you deeply for your continuous support and for paying attention to the issue of period poverty. G Foundation will carry out the project responsibly to ensure that the wishes of our supporters are conveyed on the ground."

G Foundation has been conducting health and hygiene support projects for adolescent girls since 2019, and is continuously expanding its offerings, including the provision of menstrual product kits, underwear, remodeling sanitation facilities, and gender-sensitive education and emotional support activities.
