Actress Lee Si-young donated 100 million won to support the treatment costs for child patients and to introduce a heavy ion therapy device.
Lee Si-young conveyed her positive influence by donating 100 million won to Asan Medical Center. Lee Si-young's donation will be used to improve the medical facilities and healthcare environment of the pediatric ward at Asan Medical Center to build a better hospital environment.
Earlier, Lee Si-young started by donating 10 million won to assist single mothers facing economic difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. In 2021, she donated 20 million won to the nonprofit organization Durui to support children affected by abuse. She has practiced philanthropy to ensure that all children can be protected without discrimination, including improvements to legal systems and lawsuits for children affected by abuse, as well as research and education.
In addition, she donated 100 million won each year to the Beautiful Foundation in 2021 and 2023. This support has included providing winter supplies for vulnerable neighbors and helping youth, including those transitioning out of welfare facilities and those with borderline intelligence, to secure stable housing and enhance their self-reliance.
This donation also reflects her attention to child patients and improvements in the medical environment. Lee Si-young continues to provide ongoing interest and support to places that need practical help, including children, adolescents, single-parent families, and vulnerable groups, conveying positive influence.
Meanwhile, Lee Si-young announced her divorce after eight years of marriage in March. After marrying a restaurateur in 2017, she gave birth to a son in January of the following year, but it was reported that she submitted a request for mediation for divorce to the Seoul Family Court earlier this year.
She is also meeting viewers with her healthy and vibrant charm through her new drama 'Salon de Homes,' which premiered on ENA on the 16th.
