They apologized and clarified the controversy regarding suggestive direction that arose over some scenes after the teaser video for Baby DONT Cry's first single 'F Girl' was released.
First, P NATION stated, "We sincerely apologize to those who may have felt discomfort or concern due to the video." However, they denied the suggestiveness controversy, stating, "The title track 'F Girl' contains a message urging people to see and understand me as I am, rather than according to the standards set by others, like grades (A-F scale)."
Regarding the first scene of the teaser that became controversial for chewing gum and holding candy, they emphasized that it was "a scene expressing 'chewing gum,' 'holding candy,' etc., in the process of creating a rebellious yet cheerful setting," adding, "The overall flow and content of the upcoming music video do not include any provocative or suggestive direction whatsoever."
Nevertheless, the scenes in the teaser will be deleted from the final music video. In this regard, P NATION explained, "Regardless of any reason, the scenes that have become the subject of controversy will be removed from the main music video to prevent misunderstandings and controversies in advance."
P NATION also drew the line regarding the 'cherry' scene that has become a symbol for Baby DONT Cry. They emphasized, "We decided to use the image of a cherry, which is small but has a strong color, as the group symbol. The negative meanings or associations of cherries have never been considered or intended at any time."
Baby DONT Cry is a four-member girl group consisting of Lee Hyun, Kumi, Mia, and Benny. They are set to hold a debut showcase today (23rd). They previously drew attention by releasing the teaser for their first single 'F Girl.'
