Lim Ji-yeon from Fresh off the Sea attempted to make tanghulu but failed.
In the 11th episode of the tvN variety show Fresh off the Sea, which aired on 22nd, Lim Ji-yeon was depicted attempting to make tanghulu while completing a table setting with seasonal webfoot octopus.
On that day, Lim Ji-yeon stuck strawberries and green grapes onto a long stick and asked, "Now only the hard part remains," before starting to boil sugar and water. Lee Jae-wook said, "You know you can't mix that?" but Lim Ji-yeon replied, "Do I have to put all the sugar in and stir? You shouldn’t stir the sugar?"
Concerned, Lee Jae-wook asked, "Do you want to check the recipe once?" and Lim Ji-yeon replied, "I will go to the bathroom once," and pretended to familiarize herself with the recipe after returning from the bathroom. He returned to his seat and said, "I think we shouldn't stir it like you said," while boiling the sugar water.
However, contrary to expectations, it was just sticky sugar water. After storing the tanghulu in the refrigerator and taking it out, it stuck to the plate, and Lee Jae-wook asked Yum Jung-ah, "Did you laminate this? It might be better not to eat it." A laughing Yum Jung-ah said, "It's too hard; I heard it might break a tooth."
Park Joon Myun, who tasted Lim Ji-yeon's tanghulu, ended up spitting it out and said, "This is like taffy. I think a tooth might come out," while Lee Jae-wook, who had it stuck to his molar, ran to the bathroom, drawing laughter.
