HYBE and Geffen Records' global girl group KATSEYE has kicked off the popularity of their new single 'Gabriela.'
According to the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify, on the 22nd, 'Gabriela' was played over 2.06 million times on the day of its release, ranking 44th on the 'Daily Top Song Global' chart (as of June 20). It shows a trend that is overwhelming the first-day performance of 'Gnarly,' which was released on April 30. 'Gnarly' first entered this chart at 91st place (as of May 2) three days after its release and has steadily climbed the ranks since.
'Gnarly,' which entered both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the U.K. Official Singles Chart on the same day, ranked 53rd on Spotify's 'Daily Top Song Global.' This is a remarkable jump of 25 spots from the previous day. Along with 'Gabriela,' it seems to reignite an upward trend in popularity once again.
'Gabriela' is a track that blends sophisticated pop sound with acoustic guitar infused with Latin sentiment, showcasing KATSEYE's sensual energy and more mature vocal prowess. The music video for this song has garnered attention by reaching the top of 'YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide.' It has received explosive responses, especially by ranking as the number one trending video in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and more.
KATSEYE performed 'Gnarly' at the '2025 Kids' Choice Awards' held in Los Angeles, USA, on the 21st (local time), heating up the venue.
With explosive energy dominating the stage, the six members continued high-intensity choreography, including hip movements and the so-called 'hammer performance,' overwhelming the audience's attention. Their vibrant expressions and solid teamwork combined in their performance elicited cheers from global music fans as well as artists attending the award ceremony.
