Singer Young-tak has achieved a record of four awards at the 34th Seoul Music Awards.
Young-tak demonstrated his prowess by winning four awards at the 34th Seoul Music Awards ceremony held on the 21st at Inspire Arena in Jung-gu, Incheon, including the main award, the Trot Award, the OST Award, and the K-POP World Choice solo institutional sector award. He also achieved a remarkable feat of breaking the record of two awards set at the same ceremony last year.
First, Young-tak was moved to become the recipient of the main award, which is awarded to the most outstanding K-POP artists of the year.
In addition, he won the OST Award for the song "Unseen Life" from the KBS2 weekend drama "For Eagle Brothers." The OST Award is particularly meaningful as it is given to those who maximize the emotions of viewers and connect genres, and the artist selected has played a role in linking the past and present through music.
Furthermore, the K-POP World Choice solo institutional sector award is noteworthy as it was determined by fan votes via mobile, reflecting the warmth of fans from both the official fan club "Young-tak and Blues" and those from home and abroad, showcasing Young-tak's tremendous popularity.
Above all, with the Trot Award win, Young-tak did not forget his roots as an excellent performer and achieved a record of four awards. After receiving the award that day, Young-tak expressed his gratitude, saying, "Receiving a valuable award in a precious space is all thanks to my fans. I will continue to strive to create music that gives good energy."
Along with winning four awards, he also added to the joy with a splendid opening stage for the third part. Following the O.S.T. "Unseen Life" from the KBS2 weekend drama "For Eagle Brothers," he thrilled the audience with his unyielding energy and explosive stage presence with the title track "SuperSuper" from his mini-album.
Since making his debut in 2005 with the movie "Crisis of the Family" O.S.T., Young-tak has recorded sales of 524,210 copies (according to Hanteo chart aggregation) for his first full album "MMM" and 627,037 copies for his second full album "FORM," while achieving 536,707 copies for his new mini-album "SuperSuper," marking three consecutive half-million sellers and continuing to break new records as a singer-songwriter.
Young-tak, who is making a dramatic comeback to the music scene with the release of a new digital single next month, is set to hold his "2025 Young-tak Solo Concert" from August 8 (Friday) to 10 (Sunday) for a total of three days at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul.
