Choreographer Bae Yoon-jung, known for "You Must Run," faced a crisis during the full course marathon and shed tears while thinking about her mother.
In the MBN entertainment program "You Must Run," which concluded on the 21st, the challengers were finally shown taking on the 42.195 km race.
Bae Yoon-jung began to chant slogans to herself as she felt pain in her legs about halfway through the course. She had been struggling throughout the race due to pre-existing knee problems. In response to her, her mother and son sent a video message. Upon seeing this, Bae Yoon-jung began to sob uncontrollably.
Bae Yoon-jung said, "It was already so hard, but seeing that video made me feel pain seeing my mother, even though my son was nice. I wasn't the kind of daughter who was affectionate like other people's daughters. Since my brain was pushed to the extreme, I thought of my son, but I also thought of my mother."
Pacer Shim Eut-dream calmly reassured Bae Yoon-jung, saying, "You've already done well. But if it feels more painful and difficult here, you have to make a judgment." Bae Yoon-jung replied, "There's a finish line, and my mother and son sent a video, so I thought I had to get there," ultimately finishing 8 laps before giving up the race.
Gwon Eun-joo and Shim Eut-dream consoled Bae Yoon-jung, who was crying hard.
