Byeon Wooseok showcased a remarkable achievement as a triple crown winner at 'ASEA 2025.'
The photoshoot featuring Byeon Wooseok, set to be released in the July issue of At Style, was captured at the 'ASEA 2025' awards ceremony. Taking the stage as both a presenter and an award recipient, he won a total of three awards: 'The Best Artist,' 'The Best OST,' and 'Fan Choice Artist,' responding to his soaring popularity. In a joint interview, Byeon Wooseok shared honest stories, from his thoughts on the awards ceremony to his attitude toward acting and heartfelt feelings to fans.
Having received much love through 'Lovely Runner,' he said, “I often think about how I can repay this love I have received,” and added, “Since this award was given through the votes and support of fans, it contained emotions beyond just a simple trophy.” He continued, “When I stood on stage as a presenter, I felt the weight of the award again, and I wanted to sincerely convey the award to the recipient artist.”
His affection for the work was deeply conveyed. He said, “Sunjae was a character that felt like a gift encountered at a moment I dreamed of as an actor, and it took time to let go of that character,” and added, “It was a character I had approached with sincerity, and I was really grateful that the viewers fully embraced that feeling.” He also mentioned, “Through this work, I learned how to focus more on acting, and I gained inner confidence.”
Regarding his next work, MBC's '21st Century Great Lady,' he stated, “The story and characters vividly came to mind as soon as I read the script,” noting, “I felt certain that this work was possible because of the 'current me.'” He added, “I want to express more complex emotions convincingly, and I feel excited that I can show a new image externally.”
Byeon Wooseok said, “Ultimately, since this is something I started because I love it, I want to go on being myself and not losing sincerity,” and added, “I am still in the process of growing into a good person and a good actor.” To his fans, he conveyed, “Even in the face of unfamiliar and difficult challenges, I feel that it is possible because you all are there,” and asked them to “please wait a little longer, as I will greet you with a more wonderful appearance.”
