Broadcaster Park Soo-hong was engulfed in worry upon hearing the health examination results of his pet cat, Da-hong.
On the 21st, a video titled "6-year-old Da-hong.. health examination results" was uploaded on the 'Park Soo-hong Happy Da-hong' channel.
On this day, Park Soo-hong visited the veterinary clinic with his wife, Kim Da-ye, and daughter, Jae-i, for Da-hong's health exam. He expressed concern as he observed the anxious Da-hong, saying, "Da-hong felt it. He sensed where this is. Isn't this a place he has been to before?"
Afterward, Da-hong gradually became stable and successfully completed the health examination. However, after the examination, the veterinarian noted, "It seems we need to see him early next time. There’s one aspect of Da-hong that we need to check again," raising concerns for Park Soo-hong.
He explained, "The bladder can be thought of as a balloon. When it is full of urine, it is important to check the bladder wall again. Right now, it's all shriveled up, and here is where the urine is. When there is a little less urine, there appears to be a bulge at the entrance of the urethra. This wasn't there last year. When we initially held the bladder, there were small stones sticking to the wall. Therefore, we need to see whether this is something that could be floating around when the bladder is full or if there’s something stuck here because this is a place where calcified substances gather."
He continued, "If Da-hong's bladder is clean when it's inflated, you shouldn't worry, but we can't see this next year. It would be best to see him again within a month. If it has grown a bit and doesn't look nice, we might have to consider the possibility of a mass. The location itself isn't very favorable. I hope that doesn't happen."
He added, "His teeth may need scaling. The front teeth don't accumulate a lot of tartar, but tartar has started to form a little, and the gums are beginning to slightly push up. When he comes back, we will prioritize checking the bladder first. If that's okay, we can assist with scaling. In fact, just like there were stones in the bladder, there are also slight mineral findings in the liver. The organ called the spleen shows slight calcification or signs of senescence. This doesn't pose a major problem for living. However, if there are sudden changes, alterations in shape, or growth, we need to check, so it's necessary to have these mid-term check-ups."
Park Soo-hong said, "I don't think this was visible last year," to which the veterinarian replied, "It wasn't this much last year." Park Soo-hong showed a worried expression, asking, "Could there be another cause aside from aging?" The veterinarian noted, "A year is about equivalent to five years for Da-hong in human years. He is currently going through the first life transition in middle age. Last year, we mentioned slight calcification in the kidneys, but these are maintaining quite well without major changes. I hope you definitely come in within a month without going over."
