Asuka Kirara denied allegations of prostitution involving former THE BOYZ member Joo Haknyeon.
Asuka Kirara posted on her social account early on the 21st, saying, "Various speculations are rampant, but the article from Shūkan Bunshun has not yet been released. Please do not spread false information."
Previously, on the 18th, rumors of an affair between Asuka Kirara and Joo Haknyeon spread. At that time, a media outlet reported that Japanese local media Shūkan Bunshun obtained a questionnaire indicating that Joo Haknyeon met with Asuka Kirara at a private bar in Tokyo at the end of last month. According to the report, Joo Haknyeon and Asuka Kirara were known to have engaged in skinship, such as hugging and resting a chin on each other's shoulders.
Asuka Kirara debuted as an adult film actress in 2007 and retired in 2020. Currently, she is active as an influencer. Moreover, Asuka Kirara is known to be in a public relationship with Hiraku, a YouTuber with an intellectual disability, under the premise of marriage. In response, the management company of THE BOYZ, One Hundred, released an official statement noting, "We take the seriousness of this matter very seriously and clearly recognize the difficulty in maintaining trust as an artist," and confirmed the decision to terminate Joo Haknyeon's team membership and exclusive contract after discussions with the members.
However, another media outlet later reported that Asuka Kirara and Joo Haknyeon engaged in prostitution, causing shock. In response, Joo Haknyeon posted a handwritten letter stating, "On May 30, 2025, I attended a drinking party with acquaintances, and I was indeed present there, but I have never engaged in any illegal acts such as prostitution mentioned in the news or rumors."
Despite his clarification, suspicions continued to escalate, and comments demanding explanations and negative remarks flooded Asuka Kirara's social account. This prompted Asuka Kirara, who had remained silent, to directly refute the claims after three days.
He claimed, "I have never received money for sexual acts in my life, not even once. Of course, that is the case this time as well," and added, "It seems that a woman I met for the first time at that gathering liked Haknyeon, so a photo of us was taken and sold to Bunshun."
Meanwhile, as speculation ran rampant regarding the prostitution allegations, Joo Haknyeon posted additional comments stating, "Despite my clear stance that I have not engaged in any illegal acts, I will take civil and criminal legal action against certain journalists and media outlets that continue to write malicious articles. If there is evidence that I engaged in prostitution, please disclose it immediately." He also added, "I have not withdrawn from the team, and I have not agreed to terminate my exclusive contract. The agency is trying to make it seem as if there are grounds for termination even though there are none stated in the contract, and certain media outlets are defaming me by mentioning prostitution without any basis."
In response, One Hundred stated, "According to the contents specified in the exclusive contract, we have terminated our exclusive contract with Mr. Joo Haknyeon, and this was a just and reasonable measure." They further explained, "The essence of this matter lies in Mr. Joo Haknyeon's evasion of responsibility and the repeated distorted claims. If Mr. Joo Haknyeon's statements continue, our artists and company will take all necessary legal measures to prevent any harm, and we will submit relevant documents and evidence to judicial authorities."
