Broadcaster Choi Hwa-jung shared a ridiculous anecdote she experienced in Japan.
On the 19th, a video titled "Perfectly Sensible Choi Hwa-jung's 20 Bags Revealed by Price Range (30-Year Collection)" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Hello, this is Choi Hwa-jung.'
The released video featured Choi Hwa-jung introducing more than 20 bags from her personal collection.
He stated, "I wonder if it will be elegant even when I'm a grandmother; I base my purchases on this," while showing a variety of bags from low-cost practical items to high-end luxury brands.
Particularly, while introducing a lenticular bag that changes poses every time the 'Atom' character moves, he revealed that he bought the product at a small stationery store in Harajuku, Japan.
Choi Hwa-jung recalled, "At first, I asked for five, and they sold them to me, but suddenly they said, 'Are you going to sell this?' and refused to sell more," adding, "At that time, these bags were about 35,000 to 40,000 won, and I thought I could buy five. It wasn't a concept store; it was just a tiny shop."
He continued, "I asked a friend to interpret. They treated me like some Korean person trying to buy out all the goods," and noted, "This was 30 to 35 years ago."
