Actress Lee Mi-sook underwent a brain examination.
On the 19th, a video titled 'The day of filming a brain cut of life.. I found out a new fact' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Lee Mi-sook_Sookseureoun Misuk-ssi.'
The released video shows actress Lee Mi-sook visiting a hospital for a brain health checkup.
On this day, Lee Mi-sook said, 'I have never had an MRI or MRA,' and noted, 'I have a little forgetfulness, but I never forget my metabolism. That's a different function,' expressing her concerns about dementia.
In response, the doctor reassured her, stating, 'Forgetting where you've placed objects is not a big problem. A pathological cognitive decline is determined when there are issues in daily life.'
Ahead of the examination, she showed signs of nervousness. While stroking her arm, the production team asked, 'Are you nervous?' and Lee Mi-sook responded, 'Of course. Just look at my blood pressure. I get too calm when I come to the hospital,' smiling.
The actual blood pressure measurement showed 147/71, and she said, 'That's the first time. Usually it's 100 over 80. Have I developed high blood pressure? I regret coming for no reason,' adding it with a hint of humor.
After completing all brain tests, including MRI, MRA, and ultrasound, Lee Mi-sook encountered an unexpected twist upon receiving the results. The doctor explained, 'There are no white matter changes caused by age, and there are no signs of stroke or cerebral infarction. Overall, your brain age is 6 years younger than your actual age. It's in very good condition.'
In response, Lee Mi-sook joked, 'I thought it would say I'm in my 40s, but it's not,' to which the doctor replied, 'Still, you're quite young.'
