Singer and actor Kim Jae-jung attended a ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of the normalization of Korea-Japan diplomatic relations held in Tokyo, Japan, on the 19th, his agency, In Code Entertainment, reported on the 20th.

The event was hosted by the Korean Embassy in Japan and was attended by over 800 people, including Japan's Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and figures from the political, business, and cultural sectors of both countries. Members of the Japanese girl group Hitomi and Mei also visited the venue.

In his speech, Kim Jae-jung noted, "The number 60 symbolizes the completion of a cycle in Tongyang," adding, "This moment is a valuable opportunity for both countries to reflect on the footprints we have walked and to prepare for a new future."

He continued, "Music and culture are strong bridges that connect people's hearts beyond language and borders," and expressed hope that "the two countries will continue to understand and respect each other's cultures deeply, especially creating a tomorrow where the younger generation can communicate and nurture their dreams together."

Debuting in 2003 as part of Dongbang Shin Ki, Kim Jae-jung has been active while moving between Korea and Japan, and is currently on an Asia tour titled 'Beauty in Chaos' as a solo artist.
