In the 4th episode of Channel A's knowledge quiz show 'Brain Academy,' aired on the 12th (Thursday) at 10 p.m., 'entertainment industry brains' Jun Hyun-moo, Ha Seok-jin, Lee Sang-yeob, Yoon Sohui, Hwang Je-seong, and Gweido were seen solving political quizzes on the theme of 'democracy' alongside 'political master' Professor Kim Ji-yoon. They missed the final question and thus failed to earn the 'knowledge medal,' but they radiated their growing 'knowledge chemistry,' providing viewers with a wealth of knowledge and fun.
That day, as the 'Brain 6' had architecture, psychology, and science, the keyword for the quiz was revealed to be 'politics,' and the 'Brain 6' immediately mentioned Dr. Kim Ji-yoon. Shortly after, Dr. Kim Ji-yoon actually appeared and stated, "Today's topic is 'How did the people become the masters of the state?" The 'history brain' Lee Sang-yeob declared, "Today I will go to the master zone and receive a knowledge medal," igniting his determination. However, the first to stand out was the 'science brain' Gweido. When Dr. Kim Ji-yoon mentioned, "There are important elements of democracy," Gweido immediately responded with, "Elections!" To the question, "What do people do during elections?" he exclaimed, "Voting!" Dr. Kim Ji-yoon praised him, saying, "You are my protégé!" and then posed a quiz asking, "Choose the two ballots that correspond to invalid ballots among the following." Gweido's correct answer was even more surprising.
As Gweido displayed early strength, Dr. Kim Ji-yoon posed the question, "The country that first attempted democracy was Athens," and then asked, "The origin of the term 'idiot' comes from the ancient Greek word idiotes. What kind of person did idiotes refer to?" Gweido tossed a chance for the answer to 'language brain' Jun Hyun-moo, saying, "I would like to ask for your opinion." In this case, 'science brain' Yoon Sohui answered, "Money (coin)?" correctly.
Then Dr. Kim Ji-yoon mentioned Louis XIV of England, saying, "There was an event that solidified the parliament's restraint on royal power." In response, Jun Hyun-moo answered, "The Glorious Revolution," even explaining the difficult term 'Bill of Rights,' turning the situation upside down.
Amid Jun Hyun-moo's active engagement, Dr. Kim Ji-yoon posed a quiz: "What is the legally defined method of elections to supplement the issues with elections in England?" Jun Hyun-moo again recited, "Universal, equal, secret, and direct," while Gweido and Yoon Sohui simultaneously said, "It seems it would be 'secret,'" continuing their string of correct answers. However, while Dr. Kim Ji-yoon discussed 'the separation of powers,' he posed a surprise quiz asking, "List the U.S. presidents in order of their terms," putting the 'Brain 6' in a predicament. Fortunately, they deduced the answers based on events like the assassination of Kennedy and the Watergate scandal.
Meanwhile, Dr. Kim Ji-yoon noted, "Trump posts an average of about 17 SNS messages a day," invoking the current U.S. President Donald Trump. Jun Hyun-moo laughed, saying, "(Trump is) too MZ~" while Ha Seok-jin candidly remarked, "It seems like a digital detox is needed," eliciting laughter.
Immediately after, Dr. Kim Ji-yoon stated, "President Trump faced controversy for posting fake AI images without notice," and then posed the last quiz: "Find the real photo of President Trump among the following." Amidst AI photos mixed with real ones, Jun Hyun-moo humorously deduced, "I've never seen a kind-looking photo like number 4. Disqualified!" Yoon Sohui activated her 'hawk's eye,' asking, "Isn't the tie color important?" while Gweido noted, "Number 3 has an unusual out-focusing." However, they all failed to answer correctly. Thus, the 'Brain 6' missed the final quiz and failed to earn the 'knowledge medal' in the political field, promising another challenge next time.
