Singer Jeong Dong-won took on his first cooking challenge for his pet dogs, Teddy and Bear.

On the 19th, Jeong Dong-won posted a video titled "ep07. Dog Dad's Parenting Diary" on his YouTube channel 'JD1,' showcasing his attempt to make a custom meal for dogs, known as chemical food (화식).

That day, he said, “I spent 450,000 won to make delicious chemical food for Teddy and Bear. I never imagined it would turn out to be this much,” while skillfully preparing ingredients like carrot, sweet potato, enoki mushrooms, chicken breast, and tofu, demonstrating unexpected household skills. Nevertheless, he joked, “Today went completely wrong. If they can't eat it, I'll eat it.”

Jeong Dong-won, who revealed that it was his first time not only cooking chemical food but also standing in the kitchen, said, “I haven’t cooked since moving in. Today is the first time. It’s a really historic day.”

During the cooking process, he suggested to the production crew, “If the dog’s chemical food tastes good, can’t people eat it, too? Do you want to try some?” The crew tasted the chicken and exclaimed, “It’s really delicious.” Jeong Dong-won also said, “It’s well-cooked. It’s tasty,” with a satisfied smile.

At the end of the video, there were scenes of Teddy and Bear happily enjoying the chemical food prepared with love by their owner. When the production crew asked, “Was it worth spending 450,000 won?” Jeong Dong-won replied, “They eat well, but… 450,000 won was a bit excessive,” adding to the laughter.

Meanwhile, Jeong Dong-won made headlines last year by purchasing a luxurious residential office building in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul, for about 2 billion won at the age of 16.
