'You have to run' Yu-ri shares her heartfelt thoughts ahead of her full marathon challenge, saying, 'I feel like I’ve finally found myself.'
The 10th episode of MBN's special project 'You have to run,' celebrating its 30th anniversary, will air on the evening of the 21st at 8:20 p.m., featuring the 'You-san Crew' as they take on the full marathon one last time.
Since officially taking up marathon running in March, the 'You-san Crew' has shown remarkable growth, completing 5km, 10km, and a 21km half marathon, leading up to 'trail running' in just about three months. On this day, they are deep in thought following the announcement by Director General Sean and Deputy Director General Lee Young-pyo that they will challenge the full marathon for those who wish to do so. Subsequently, as the much-anticipated full marathon challenge day arrives, hopeful candidates begin to appear one by one. Among them, Yu-ri, who has not missed the 'first place for women' in the 'You-san Crew,' becomes emotional as she receives her new bib number in the waiting room. She says, 'The first bib number I received had ‘My name is Yu-ri’ written on it, but now it has changed to ‘Kang Hwa Yu-ri.’ I feel like I’ve finally found myself. I have really strengthened (mentally) since I started marathon running,' and she chokes up.
Choi Jun-seok also cheers upon seeing the phrase 'Soon –20kg' written on his new bib number, exclaiming, 'At first, it was ‘20 billion thunderstorm,’ but it has changed.' Son Jeong-eun shares, 'Wow! My bib number is ‘I’m smiling now.’ Originally it was ‘I want to stop crying,’ but running with the 'You-san Crew' has brought me happiness. These days, friends tell me that my facial expressions have improved.' Her life has changed 180 degrees, she vividly conveys. There’s intense interest in who else from the members is challenging the full marathon and what their new bib numbers will be.
