The boy group The Boyz's Ju Haknyeon (26) has strongly denied the allegations of prostitution surrounding him and has announced legal action.

Ju Haknyeon stated on the 20th through social media (SNS), "If there is evidence that I engaged in prostitution, I hope it will be revealed immediately," adding, "Despite having already clarified my unequivocal position that I did not commit any illegal acts, I will take all legal measures against the reporters and media outlets that continue to write malicious articles."

He further asserted, "I have not withdrawn from the team, nor have I agreed to terminate my exclusive contract." He also remarked, "I want to question whether it is truly the attitude of a company that should protect artists to unilaterally expel me from the team simply because I was present in a private meeting with a famous person, and to coerce me into terminating my contract while mentioning over 2 billion won in damages."

Ju Haknyeon also said, "When I rejected the termination of the contract, the agency unilaterally sent me a letter of notice as if the contract was terminated due to my fault, ignoring the procedures outlined in the agreement," adding, "They are trying to make it appear as though there are reasons for termination, even though there are none specified in the contract."

Regarding his current state of mind, he said, "Honestly, it’s very scary. I felt that I could no longer remain silent in the face of attempts to bury a person for something I did not do," and added, "I hope this fight can be a small hope for someone, and I gather my courage."

Earlier, Won Hundred stated that Ju Haknyeon would temporarily pause activities due to personal reasons on the 16th. Following this, controversy arose after reports emerged that Ju Haknyeon had not only met privately with adult video (AV) actress Asuka Kirara in May but had also engaged in prostitution.

In a handwritten letter posted on SNS on the 19th, he clarified, "It is true that I was present at a drinking party with an acquaintance in the early hours of May 30, but I have not engaged in prostitution or any illegal activities as reported in articles or rumors."
